Wapiti Meadow is in the center of a web of pristine backcountry trails with access to Yellow Pine, Big Creek and remote summits. Winter access by automobile on plowed roads, snowmobile on groomed trails, and by air on skiplane.

The solitude and scenic winter wonders of the Johnson Creek Valley and surrounding summits and canyons are accessible from your base at Wapiti Meadow by snowmobile, crosscountry ski, snowshoe and snowcoach tour. The trails, groomed and powder, are endless, the views spectacular and adventures are around every bend in the trail.

Trailside Fajita Feeds warm winter sportsmen. A soak in our hot tub with a million dollar view, overlooking the meadows and valley under a star-filled ceiling, or a wine and cheese tasting make for relaxing endings to adventure-filled days.

Vast snow-filled meadows surround Wapiti Meadow’s lodge and cabins, offering powder playgrounds for snowmobilers and million-dollar high-mountain valley views. Enjoy watching for elk and moose, listening to coyotes and howling with wolves.

Guided snowmobile excursions available to high-mountain summits and remnants of the Thunder Mountain gold rush frontier.
