Each cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, microwave, and coffeemaker as well as utensils and equipment needed to prepare full meals. The dining tables are placed in front of a picture window that overlooks the ranch and some have long meadow vistas to tall peaks to the north of the valley. The porch on each cabin provides space for al fresco dining, as well.
Providing your own perishable supplies for meals insures that you'll have favorite foods or dietary necessities for all your meals. Food can be purchased in Boise, Cascade or McCall during your travel to the ranch, and some limited foodstuffs can be purchased at the Yellow Pine General Store, just 9 miles down the Johnson Creek Road. An iced cooler is also recommended for large quantities of food or drinks.
The Silver Dollar Cafe, located in Yellow Pine, serves all meals, but their dinner specials, prepared by our Wapiti Meadow long-time chef, are well worth the 9 mile drive to enjoy. He presents a wide variety of plated specials, as well as standard hamburgers, chicken strips, etc. His specials include prime rib, tequila chicken, beef enchiladas, barbequed ribs, pork chops and a terrific stir fry, among others. The town and cafe staff are welcoming and eager to please.
